The cultural offer of the capital of the island is part of the route of the center, especially the Castillo de San Gabriel - which contains an archeology exhibition - and the Castillo de San José, converted into the International Museum of Contemporary Art b>. A few kilometers away, in the town of Tahiche, a mobile sculpture announces the arrival at the former private residence of César Manrique, today the headquarters of the foundation of the same name created by him during his lifetime, which displays a intense cultural and environmental activity and whose Museum shows a complete vision of the creative trajectory of the artist.

Advancing towards the center comes La Villa de Teguise, the old island capital, declared a Historic-Artistic Heritage as a whole. In the nearby Guanapay Mountain stands the Santa Bárbara Castle, whose current destination is the Museum of Piracy, the Palace is a must in Teguise de Spínola and the Casa Marqués de Herrera y Rojas. Every Sunday morning a popular and bustling market is held.

On the way back, in the direction of San Bartolomé, in the geographical center of the island, in Mozaga, stands the Monument to the Farmer which, under the name of Fertility, honors the farmer. In the same enclosure, the Peasant Museum shows the architecture and some aspects of the traditional rural way of life, including gastronomy.

This itinerary culminates in the town of Tiagua. The Museo Agrícola el Patio is located there, a huge rustic property that faithfully reproduces the rural tradition of Lanzarote, containing a mill and a mill as well as extensive facilities with various rooms that represent the architectural typology island and all kinds of agricultural implements.
