The Quesera de Zonzamas is one of the most unique elements within the archeology of Lanzarote. your denomination refers to the resemblance they have with a gigantic mold for make cheese, although it has nothing to do with such necessities. In fact, at present, it is still an enigma usefulness and meaning.

It is located near the town of Zonzamas, between the mountains of Zonzamas and Maneje, with views of Reef. Associated with it are engravings of silhouettes standing or podomorphs. It is about five channels carved in a block of basalt porous. It reaches 3.90 meters in diameter, they have five furrows of 30 centimeters high and between 27 and 45 centimeters wide, with variable protrusions of between 30 and 50 centimeters. The channels are blind at both ends and oriented to the northwest.
