Jameos del Agua

The Jameos del Agua are located in the north of the island, in the municipality of Haría, next to the Cueva de los Verdes, in the heart of Malpaís de la Corona. Its formation was caused by the advance of the lava emanating from the volcano more than 3000 years ago. It is part of the same complex and therefore has the same origin as the Cueva de los Verdes.

Los Jameos del Agua is a creation of César Manrique, opened its doors to the public in 1966 and constitutes an impressive underground oasis in which we can find:
